Happy Dan's shows are ideal for ages 4 through 7 years. However, he includes elements in each show specifically designed to amaze and tickle older siblings and adults. The Magic Lesson Party Package provides a more hands-on approach for children 9 years and older.  

Happy Dan is a fully skilled and qualified magician with over 40 years of training and experience. He can entertain teens and adults, however, he prefers his high energy interaction with families and children. If you are planning an event for older Teens or Adults, we will be happy to refer you to top Triangle magicians who specialize in wowing these age groups. 

Rabbits and doves are a traditional part of most magic shows. While most magicians take GREAT care to safeguard their showtime pets, Happy Dan prefers not to expose these gentle creatures to the risks and rigors of live shows. He prefers to protect his long-eared and feathered friends as well as your children from an errant bite or scratch. Just ask his much loved and pampered Cockatoo companion, BubbaJo! 

Happy Dan's show gear is very flexible and can adapt to nearly any indoor or dry outdoor space large enough for himself, two narrow show tables and the children. Most families place him in front of their fireplace or television with the children seated on the floor.  

Sadly no. Happy Dan's senior years have snuck up on him and he can no longer handle the unpredictable temperature ranges and weather conditions common to the South. Indoor parties only, please. Yes with a caveat. For forty years, Happy Dan has relied on the exceptional quality and strength of Qualatex professional balloons. Sadly, the lack of business during the whole COVID situation drove this wonderful company out of business in 2024. Happy Dan is searching for a suitable replacement supplier, but his demands are high - he wants only the best and most durable product for you and your children. Balloon sculptures may be available once a suitable, top quality supplier is found. 

Happy Dan arrives with everything he needs for his laugh-filled magic show! You provide the children and the party and leave the entertainment in Happy Dan's experienced hands!

You will receive an email invoice the day before your party or event. You can pay using the Paypal link on the invoice or by cash or check on the day of the party - whichever is easiest for you. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, please hand it to Happy Dan when he arrives. This will avoid having to pull you away from your guests later. Please make checks payable to Roger Way. 

Happy Dan is all about Stress-Free celebrations! If you need to cancel or reschedule your party for any reason, just call or text him at least Two (2) Hours before his scheduled arrival time and you owe nothing. If you cancel with less than Two (2) Hours notice, we will ask for $50.00 to cover preparation and travel expenses. We will cheerfully and promptly refund any prepaid fees! No other Triangle family entertainer offers this courtesy!   

Remember that whole Stress-Free thing? If Happy Dan is unable to appear at your party due to circumstances beyond his control - such as disabling injury or illness - he will personally do his best to arrange for one of his quality magic peers to cover his absence. You will be given the stand-in's name and contact information. If his or her fee is higher, Happy Dan will cover the difference. The success of your celebration is his #1 concern!  

Happy Dan will go to just about any indoor venue in need of his special brand of laughter. He may decline any location with congested parking or restricted access or departure. A reserved parking space near the performance space is required by our performance agreement. 

Happy Dan's performances are LOUD with belly laughs and applause! He simply doesn't know how to do a quiet show. So, carefully consider your party surroundings. Libraries and crowded restaurants are generally not the ideal spot. Private rooms in restaurants and similar locations are fine with the express consent of the management.

Regrettably, Happy Dan no longer performs outdoors. This includes covered park and pool shelters open to weather, temperatures, and wind conditions. Indoor events and parties only, please.

Happy Dan is a comedy family and children's magician. He is happy to refer quality and reliable face painters, balloon sculptors, character performers, foam parties, inflatable amusements, petting zoos, caricaturists  - whatever you may need here.
